Pest:-            A pest is any living organism which competes with human,domestic animals or desirable plants for food or water.  At the same time they spread diseases to mankind and harms the environment.  Classification :- I.  Wingless :- Fleas, Lice, bedbugs, silverfish, beetles II. Winged :- Mosquito, house flies, cockroach  Types of pests:- 1.)Fleas :-  These are wingless insects 2-3 mm long with laterally flattened, hard thoraxes and abdomen, and three pairs of legs.   Fleas bite their host causing annoyance; and in case of humans, large red itching spot appears on the skin. Beds:-           A bed is a  piece of furniture or location primarily used as a place to rest, relax and sleep. To make beds more comfortable, the top layer is frequently a mattress.  Construction of bed:-  Most bed consists of the following parts:- 1.) A frame on which the spring or mattresse rest. 2.) A base which may be made up of open coiled springs,wire mesh or laminated wood strips to provide resilience and support.  3.) A mattress which lies on the top of the springs and provides extra padding.  4.)  Headboard made of painted or varnished wood or an upholstered type. 5.)  Footboard made of wood or metal and lower in height than the headboard.    Types  of beds:- 1.)Murphy bed (Wallbed) :- A bed that can hinge into a wall or cabinet to save space. (A.) Guest Room Cleaning :- i ) Cleaning of occupied room :- Knock the door and announce housekeeping. In case of DND, proceed to another room.  If guest allow you to enter, open the door and ask if you may clean the room. If guest is willing start cleaning the room.  In case ,guest does not want room cleaning ask for alternative time.  In case their is no answer from guest, knock again and announce housekeeping. If there is still no answer use your keys to open the door. If guest is in washroom or sleeping return back and close the door.  Open entering the room,open door & place room attendant trolley infront of room.  Draw curtains & open windows.  Check maintenance. It is kept under lock at front desk. ii) Grand Master Key: -               It is with executive housekeeper. It can open all the rooms including double locked rooms as well as storage areas. iii) Master Key/Pass Key:-               It is with deputy housekeeper or housekeeping manager. It can open all the rooms but not double locked rooms. iv) Floor Master Key:-               It is kept with floor supervisor.
